The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a medical entrance exam in India. It's held annually to admit students to undergraduate medical and paramedical courses.
Eligibility
Be at least 17 years old
Score at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in class 11 and 12
Be an Indian citizen, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), or foreign national
Exam pattern
The exam is 3 hours and 20 minutes long
It consists of 200 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
180 questions must be attempted
Each correct answer is worth 4 marks, and each incorrect answer is worth -1 mark
Exam administration
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the exam
The exam is conducted in offline or paper-pencil-based test (PBT) mode
The exam is conducted in 13 languages
