Footwear Design & Development Institute was established in 1986, under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India with major objectives-To Develop Human Resources within the country by imparting appropriate knowledge and skills to promote the rapid growth of footwear and allied industry in the country.-To provide and develop appropriate infrastructure for the Indian footwear industry to enable it attain international standards of production andTo particularly promote the growth of export production of quality footwear and allied products from the country.

The FDDI AIST (All India Selection Test) is a paper-based entrance exam conducted by the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) to assess candidates' aptitude, knowledge, and skills for various undergraduate and postgraduate design programs.

Purpose: The FDDI AIST is used to shortlist candidates for admission to professional programs in Footwear Design, Leather Goods & Accessory Design, Fashion Design, and Retail & Fashion Merchandise.

Exam Format: The exam is a paper-based test with multiple-choice questions, assessing skills in areas like Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, General Awareness, Business Aptitude, and Design Aptitude.

Programs Offered: FDDI AIST is used for admission to B.Des, BBA, MDes, and MBA programs.

Exam Date: The FDDI AIST 2025 exam is scheduled for May 11, 2025.

Medium of the test: The medium of the test will be in English/Hindi.

Syllabus: The syllabus for the FDDI AIST 2025 consists of important topics that are crucial for students preparing for the exam.

Registration: Candidates need to fill out an online registration form and upload the required documents, along with making an online payment of the application fee.

Exam Pattern: The FDDI AIST exam pattern is designed to test the knowledge, skill, and aptitude of the candidates for the program opted for.

No Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in the FDDI AIST exam.
